Awesome Authors: Beth Wiseman

Beth Wiseman is one of the first Amish fiction writers that I’ve read and it was her books that sparked my love for _140_245_Book.1027.coverAmish fiction. She is a prolific writer and I have had the privilege of reading and reviewing several of them.

Those books are:

An Amish Cradle

Am Amish Kitchen

An Amish Second Christmas

An Amish Miracle

The House That Love Built (Not an Amish story)

The Wonder of Your Love

Her Brother’s Keeper

Beth Wiseman’s writing is light, engaging and inspiring. I love that she sometimes tackles subjects that others avoid such as Down’s syndrome. If you enjoy love-inspired Amish fiction, I know that you will enjoy her books. If you have never read Amish fiction novels, her stories would be a good introduction into this genre.

Awesome Authors: Cindy Woodsmall

*This post is part of the Write 31 Days challenge.

I am fairly new to Cindy Woodsmall’s books. I had the opportunity to read a few of her books, including A Love Undone and Ties That Bind, and I am in the process of reading a four-story book that includes a story by Cindy Woodsmall.

Ties that Bind by Cindy WoodsmallOver the years, I have read quite a few love-inspired Amish novels from several different authors and Cindy Woodsmall is definitely one of my favorites. Her characters are relatable and likeable, her stories are engaging in such a way that the reader can’t help but keep turning the pages, and she doesn’t shy away from unusual or difficult topics.

In addition, Woodsmall’s stories are the perfect “easy reads” to bring to the beach during the hot days of summer or to curl up with on the couch during the blustery, cold days of winter.

Thus, if someone was new to Amish fiction novels, or was looking for love-inspired romance novels that are free from the usual graphic romance novels, I would absolutely recommend she start with one of Cindy Woodsmall’s books.
