Books Read in July 2016

July was “light reading month” for me. Well, almost. 🙂

I read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. This was not light reading. It was actually pretty heavy! I read this for school years ago and when I came across it at the library, I decided to read it again. Plath has a deep and raw writing style that gets into my bones. I didn’t want to continue reading the book but I didn’t want to stop reading it either!

Then I read the Bride Quartet Series by Nora Roberts. I have never read any of her books and this series caught my eye so I decided it to give it a go. It was okay. If you want a longer review of the series you can read it over at my personal blog. Suffice it to say, there are some issues to the books but the character development was fantastic. That’s what kept me reading through the books.

This month, I do not have any set books I am going to read. I started a book called The Incubated Author: 10 Steps to Start a Movement and hope to finish it soon.

Otherwise, I am not sure how much time I will have to read. Homeschooling for Andrew starts soon so between that and other projects/responsibilities I may not have much extra time for reading. We will see.

What books have you read or are reading now? Do share!
